Work where history comes to life

Step through the doors of Black Country Living Museum (BCLM) and you'll quickly discover that this is no ordinary workplace. As one of Europe's leading open-air museums and immersive visitor attractions, we bring together stories, people, places, and history to tell the unique story of the Black Country.

Our people are at the heart of the experience. Whether you are supporting visitors, caring for collections, delivering events, working behind the scenes, helping schools explore the past, or keeping our historic streets, shops, cafés, vehicles, and sites running smoothly, every role helps create the immersive experience our visitors love.

No two days feel the same here. Not only are we a museum but we are also a major TV and film location, and host standout seasonal events including our much-loved 1940s Weekend and Peaky Blinders Nights. It is not your typical workplace, and you never know what might be happening next week!

Based in the heart of Dudley, with excellent road and rail links and metro links on the way, we are easy to reach from across the Midlands. Alongside competitive financial rewards, we offer a welcoming, kind, and positive approach to work-life balance.
